The Toronto Maple Leafs will be without another two forwards for the foreseeable future.
In a statement made Saturday afternoon, the club announced that Ilya Mikheyev (wrist) and Trevor Moore (concussion) have been placed on injured reserve. With Andreas Johnsson (leg) on the IR as well, the Leafs are currently missing three forwards from their regular lineup.
After suffering a gruesome injury during last nights game versus the New Jersey Devils, Mikheyev&#8217;s agent, Dan Milstein, announced that the Russian winger underwent successful surgery to repair an artery and tendons in his wrist. Mikheyev, who has recorded 23 points in 39 games this season, will be out of the Leafs&#8217; lineup for at least the next three months.

Moore&#8217;s timeline is a little less clear, with the club announcing he will be out of the lineup indefinitely.
The 24-year-old has had a difficult rookie NHL season, suffering a shoulder injury on November 15th against Boston and returning to the Leafs&#8217; lineup on December 21st before missing every game since. In between Moore suffering a shoulder injury and returning to game action, he took a hit in practice that set his recovery back, as well. Roughly a week after Moore played nearly 10 minutes against Detroit, it&#8217;s unclear when he sustained a concussion.
In a corresponding move to the assignment of Moore and Mikheyev to the IR, the Maple Leafs also announced that forward Kenny Agostino and defenceman Timothy Liljegren have been summoned from the Marlies.
Agostino, 27, has been a point-per-game player through 26 games of AHL action with the Marlies. Before inking a two-year, one-way contract with the Leafs this past summer, Agostino played in 63 NHL games last season with the New Jersey Devils and Montreal Canadiens, recording 24 points.
Liljegren, 20, is recalled once again by the Leafs, and there&#8217;s a good chance he could see some game action this time around. With Jake Muzzin out week-to-week with a foot injury, the Leafs&#8217; first-round pick in the 2017 draft could certainly be the one bestowed upon to fill in that gap, although Martin Marincin will take Muzzin&#8217;s spot for tonight&#8217;s matchup in New York.
