Morning after recap: Are you surprised we beat the Wings?

Mar 25, 2018, 09:33 EDTUpdated: Mar 24, 2018, 23:33 EDT
The Buds continued their home game winning streak, and tied franchise records for wins and home wins in a season. And they beat the Dead Things, so all in all, a good evening.
1-0 Leafs (@ThatsKappy)
Despite the fact that a million holding calls were missed, Bozak decided to not shoot in a prime scoring chance, and instead nutmeg Andreas Athanasiou and set up Kapanen, who makes no mistake and buries it.
1-1
A failed shot from Roman Polak turns into a solid stretch pass from Anthony Mantha that springs Dylan Larkin between Dermott and Polak, and Larkin beats Andersen to tie the game.
2-1 Wings
Leafs had a bit of a relapse right here, as the Wings walked all over them for a solid stretch, and a solid drop pass from Zetterberg went to DeKeyser, whose shot deflected off of Tyler Bertuzzi and in the net.
2-2
But the Leafs came back with a greasy play of their own, as a rare Dermott-Rielly pairing sighting resulted in a Dermott shot deflecting off of Brown and in.
Connor Brown! Deflects Dermott's point shot right past Howard. 2-2.
3-2 Wings
I didn’t really know what was going on here, so just listen to Jeff.
3-3
I’d describe this play for you, but I’ve been informed that if I do, this post will get taken down for describing an explicit image, so just watch it again.
AUSTON AND WILLIAM FOREVER
4-3
Marleau shows some hustle to create a 2-on-1, and makes a great pass to Kadri, who makes no mistake and tucks home the game winner.
Nazem Kadri! Insane effort by Marleau to blow past the defender and feed Kadri with the backhand sauce. 4-3 Leafs.
And that’s all she wrote. 4-3 Leafs, and another home win.
