Who’s ready for Tyler Bertuzzi’s return to Boston? I hope the TD Garden organist is.
At the very least, here’s hoping that it’s a different Leafs team as opposed to the spook squad we saw against Los Angeles on Halloween at Scotiabank Arena the other night. That was UGLY.
Alongside guest co-host Anthony Stewart, we kicked off the Thursday edition of Leafs Morning Take by discussing Pierre Dorion’s resignation in Ottawa. I mean, out of all the ways to get fired, that’s how it ends. I’ll miss him. The Sens haven’t been able to stay out of their own way recently.
Presented by DoorDash, The Appetizer, focused on the game note ahead of tonight’s tilt in Boston between the Leafs and Bruins. Charlie McAvoy won’t play due to suspension, which obviously, is good news for the Maple Leafs. Also, Jake McCabe remains out for Toronto with a groin injury. Furthermore, Ilya Samsonov will get the call in between in the pipes as Tyler Bertuzzi makes his return to a place he called home for a grand total of 28 games last season. Can’t wait for the video tribute!
Meantime, brought to you by the brand spanking new Wendy’s Daily Faceoff Survivor Pool, we dove deeper into the game preview for the first of four meetings between these two Original Six foes this season. Unbelievable, through nine outings, the Bruins (8-0-1) have yet to lose in regulation. Perhaps the Leafs put an end to that tonight?
Jay Rosehill will be back in the mix for the Friday edition of Leafs Morning Take at 11 AM ET. We’ll recap Leafs/Bruins as well as look ahead to Saturday night’s contest in Toronto between the Leafs and Buffalo Sabres. Also, Rear Admiral of Spittin’ Chiclets will join us for the first time this season.
