Picking up the pieces from a giant turd sized loss in Game 1: Leafs Morning Take

A 339 day wait for that?
Pathetic —plain and simple.
The Wednesday edition of Leafs Morning Take acted as an all-encompassing therapy session following the ass-whooping of the century in Game 1. In case you missed it, Toronto, who trailed 3-0 after 1, surrendered four power play goals on route to a lopsided 7-3 loss to open up their first round rematch series with Tampa. Yeah, not quite what we envisioned for a season that was supposed to be different. That said, it’s just one game. There’s no need or overreact, or is there?
Additionally, it’s likely the Leafs will have to play Game 2 (at least) without the services of Michael Bunting. Following his match penalty for an illegal check to the head of Erik Cernak, a suspension may be looming for the 27-year-old. Judging by the lines at practice on Wednesday, it appears the Leafs are bracing for just that. So disappointing. He really let his team down.
Lastly, for the Betano Wrap Up , we’re focused on Game 2 between Edmonton and Los Angeles.
Join us on Thursday at 11 AM ET as we preview Game 2.
