Recapping another solid weekend + Mike Futa stops by some trade talk: Leafs Morning Take

Lost in the sight of another fantastic weekend for the Maple Leafs is all the trade action around them in the Eastern Conference standings. What an arms race!
Once again, I flew solo for the Monday edition of Leafs Morning Take. That said, Jay Rosehill did drop by for another award-winning instalment of 3 Hits With Rosey. Surprise, surprise, he gave some love for Milan Lucic and that vintage scrap this past weekend.
Meantime, after offering up an extensive breakdown of Friday’s 2-1 OT victory over Minnesota and Sunday night’s beatdown of the Seattle Kraken, Mike Futa joined the show. The former NHL Executive and two-time Stanley Cup Champion offered a unique behind the scenes scope of what’s going on in front offices right now with Friday’s trade deadline rapidly approaching. It was a really fun interview!
Meantime, for the PointsBet Canada bet of the day, I’m looking at tonight’s showdown between Edmonton and Boston.
Rosie will be back in the mix for the Tuesday edition at 11 AM ET. We’ll continue to tee up this week’s festivities, plus former Leaf/Sportsnet’s Nick Kypreos will join us.
