The Leafs need to step up to the plate in Boston: Leafs Morning Take

Simply put, the Leafs need a response game in Boston as Brandon Carlo will make his return to his former stomping grounds.
Any way you slice it, Toronto’s coming off an ugly weekend. They were brutal, got called out by their coach, and the entire fan base wants them fired. It’s time to see what this team is made of.
We kicked off the Tuesday/Remembrance Day edition of Leafs Morning Take by remembering and honouring all those who have fought/fight, served/serve and sacrificed/sacrifice for this great nation. Lest we forget.
Then, we wished producer Vicken Polatian a very happy birthday. He’s the backbone of our operation here over at Leafs Morning Take. All Vick requested for his birthday was a Toronto Maple Leafs victory. Fingers crossed. It sure would be nice to see one of the big boys will them to a victory the way Connor McDavid did for his Edmonton Oilers on Monday night against Columbus. He was out of this world.
After that, we previewed the Leafs/Bruins game. As mentioned, it’s a sneaky big one. The Leafs need to find a way to get two points —plain and simple. Most importantly, we’re all intrigued to see what they look like defensively. Incredibly, 14 of 16 Maple Leafs games have hit the over this season. Meantime, we broke down the top six from the morning skate. It looks like Berube will flip Nick Robertson and William Nylander, so it will be Knies-Matthews-Robertson and McMann-Tavares-Nylander. We’ll see if it does anything. Meantime, coming off an abysmal performance against the Bruins on Saturday night, Anthony Stolarz will get a shot at redemption. For what it’s worth, he’s 4-3-0 with a 3.79 goals-against average and 0.883 save percentage since calling out his team in the media.
Be sure to join us on the Wednesday edition of Leafs Morning Take. We’ll offer up a full recap of Leafs/Bruins. Plus, former Maple Leaf Tomas Kaberle will drop by the show.
