Welcome to the yearly wrap up of the top read articles over the last year!
One of the bigger storylines for the Toronto Maple Leafs this offseason happened not long after their season wrapped up.
Rumours had been circulating that Toronto-native Bruce Boudreau would be willing to take a demotion to coach alongside Sheldon Keefe.
An article on that, published by me on Aug. 15, was the 21st most-read TLN article this year.
Having been coaching pro hockey since 1990, the chance had been presented one where Boudreau could come and coach his home town team. It also came at a time where the Leafs, a day earlier, had announced they were moving on from assistant coaches Paul McFarland and Andrew Brewer.
A month later, the Leafs announced they had hired Paul MacLean as an assistant coach and Boudreau is still looking for a coaching home for next season.
