The Toronto Maple Leafs are set to get their top defenceman back in the lineup.
Morgan Rielly says he is returning to the lineup for tonight’s game against the @Tampa Bay Lightning.
The defenceman suffered a broken foot in early January and was scheduled to miss eight weeks. His recovery has put him at exactly eight weeks.
The week before the injury, Rielly had told The Athletic he hadn’t been playing at 100% this season due to a lower-body ailment.
Prior to his injury, he had scored 27 points in 46 games — a down year from the 72-point, 82-game season he had last year. He’s played a career-high 24:15 TOI this season.
