As you all know, the Leafs acquired Plekanec is a trade yesterday much similar to the one they made this time last year for Brian Boyle. Plekanec will serve as very solid veteran depth down the middle as the Leafs look to go on a deep playoff run for the first time since before the 2004-05 NHL lockout.
Plekanec played 981 games with Montreal, which ranks seventh in all-time history for the franchise. He played for games as a Hab than Maurice Richard, Guy Carbonneau, Doug Harvey, Saku Koivu, and Guy Lafleur.
