The Toronto Marlies continue their amassment of silverware etched crystalware, as both Brendan Leipsic and Antoine Bibeau have been acknowledged by the American Hockey League for their efforts in October.

Leipsic has had an unbelievable start to his season, to the surprise of few who have watched him in his prior season and a half with the Marlies. in eight games, the left winger leads the league in scoring with three goals and ten assists, carries a +/- of 6, and has 22 shots on goal.

The 22-year-old certainly looks to be NHL ready, showing high-level anticipation and activity while continuing to display the sandpaper that makes fans fall in love with him and opponents hate him.

On the other side of the ice, Bibeau deserves a lot of credit for a hot start to his season. While his overall 2015/16 showing was slightly above league average, the then-21-year-old was inconsistent at best and catastrophic at his worst. But he’s really hit another gear this season, going 5-0-1, posting a 0.944 save percentage, and picking up two shutouts. His performances have been particularly crucial as Garret Sparks remains out of the lineup with an undisclosed soreness.
Both players will get recognized officially at Toronto’s next home game (still a few weeks away).
