Defenceman prospect Sean Durzi traded to Guelph Storm

Jan 9, 2019, 09:48 EST
The second-round pick in 2018 is heading to Guelph in a blockbuster trade in the OHL.
Along with Durzi, Habs prospect Nick Suzuki is heading to the Storm as well.
The 20-year-old Durzi is having a stellar year in the OHL, scoring three goals and netting thirteen assists in just eighteen games, he has certainly been the key contributor on the blueline for the Owen Sound Attack.
Currently eighth among defenceman in the OHL in scoring, Durzi looks to join fellow Leafs prospect Fedor Gordeev on the blueline in Guelph. Both of them will try to replace Sharks prospect Ryan Merkley’s production – as he moved to the Petes earlier this season.
This will be Durzi’s last year in major junior, hopefully making an impact on the Marlies next season and then continuing his professional career from then on out.
