The Maple Leafs announced that Nazem Kadri has left tonight’s game with a concussion. He took a massive hit by Vince Dunn partway through the first period, that ultimately ended his night:
Kadri actually played out the rest of the period, but when the team went to the locker room for the intermission, Kadri never returned.
Kadri has only missed two games in the last two seasons, so his injury history is fairly rare.
The Leafs return home after tonight’s game in St. Louis for a 4 game home stand, and they will hope that Kadri doesn’t miss too much of that while he recovers from the concussion. We all know that concussions affect each person with each instance differently, so the recovery period is completely up in the air.
