Previously held out for precautionary reasons, forward Kasperi Kapanen is now listed out with a concussion.
Kapanen missed the game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night and will now be missing an uncertain amount of time.
He is now the third player currently out for the Leafs, joining Jake Gardiner and Travis Dermott on the injury list.
With the absence, William Nylander will most likely stay beside Auston Matthews for the time being. The most hopeful thought would be that Kapanen is back for the playoffs, or just before to get some momentum going.
Kapanen has totaled 19 goals and 23 assists in 68 games played for the Leafs this season.
Details to come.
