In addition to confirming that Holtby will start Saturday, Caps coach Barry Trotz said it's "pretty safe" to say the lines and D pairs in practice today will be the same tomorrow, but he said he hasn't told his players the lineup yet.

LGD, Stadium Series Edition: Leafs aim to raze the Capitals

By Ryan Hobart

The Leafs will play an outdoor match against the Washington Capitals tonight. The game is set up at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland. Because of the venue, this game has tons of military theme attached to it. Whether or not you’re in support of military or militaristic themes such as these, it’ll certainly be a cool experience for the service men and women of the military who get to see this game.
We already made it fairly clear that the only exciting thing about this game is that the gold-medal winning US Women’s national hockey team will be in attendance. However, some thoughts on outdoor games in general: the quality of hockey sucks, the players I’m sure have lost the excitement about it at this point, but it’s a cool thing for the fans attending the game. The only reason we’re still doing this is the team gets to sell about 30,000 more seats to an NHL game than you normally would, at higher-than-normal prices. Hockey is an entertainment business, but it’s still a business. If it makes money, it’s good.
The weather conditions today expect to be pretty crappy. Rain, and about +8°C (that’s 47°F for the imperialists). From Chris Johnston’s piece for Sportsnet this morning, there’s also some pretty high winds:
Everything not strapped down at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium was in serious danger of blowing away in gusts that reached up to 80 kilometres per hour. That included part of a temporary TV studio that stood no chance against the elements. Workers wisely removed the glass from around the boards where the teams are scheduled to play at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
Lines
There were no morning skates this morning because of the weather, so unfortunately we have no update to the Leafs’ lines. We do have the following information from Tom Gulitti for the Capitals:
