Joseph Woll is ready to take the next step in his return to the net by joining the Marlies for a conditioning stint.
The Marlies have a pair of games against Laval this weekend and given that they are back-to-backs, Joseph Woll will likely get one of those games. The next game for the Marlies would come on Wednesday, if they want to give Woll more than one game.
Depending on how things go, the timeline for return to the Leafs could be as soon as the Leafs game against the Golden Knights on Tuesday, but the Leafs have the option to keep Woll down with the Marlies for a couple of weeks if they’d like.
Presumably the Leafs would like to get a sense of Woll at the NHL level before the trade deadline.
Unfortunately for anyone in Toronto wanting to go and check out Woll, the Marlies are on a road trip until March 1st.
Woll hasn’t played since December 7th, so getting him into games is a must.
