Chris Tanev signed a six-year deal worth $4.5 million annually, providing the Maple Leafs with the genuine shutdown defenceman they&#8217;ve been seeking for years. Tanev, like Domi, grew up in Toronto and played in the Greater Toronto Hockey League as a teenager. Domi went to bat for his newest teammate, noting he knows him and his brother, Brandon Tanev, really well.
