Boy it really seems like Kasperi Kapanen might finally be sticking in the NHL, hey!
After sending him down for all of… one AHL game, the Leafs decided they missed their beautiful Finnish son and brought him back up to the AHL.
It was just two days ago when he was sent down… as the Leafs were on the NHL All-Star break. In the 4-2 win over the Syracuse Crunch, Kapanen picked up a pair of assists as well as a minor penalty.
What else can we really say at this point? The Leafs play Wednesday against the Islanders, and Kapanen will probably be back in the lineup for that, which is cool.
Here’s some additional Kapanen content, in case you missed it.
First up, a drawing from Andrew Mok…

And then Dylan Fremlin’s feature on Saturday about Kapanen.
Well, that’s a thing that happened today.
