It seems like we’ve had this debate 100 times before, and truthfully, we probably have. Local folk hero Kasperi Kapanen’s name has been tossed around like a cheap toy ever since he was first acquired in Toronto in a trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
But yesterday saw Kapanen get sent back down to the Toronto Marlies once again, and wow, there’s just no winning for this kid, eh?
Despite scoring a goal in consecutive games against Detroit and Columbus earlier this month, it looks like it’s AHL duty for “Kappy” again.
So we ask to you, dearest reader. If you were in charge of his development, what would you do with Kasperi Kapanen?
Would you keep him? Trade him? Stop freaking out? Is he going to have a regular roster spot next season?
