Well, let’s relive the game that was last night.

1-0 Leafs (JVR goal)

Who else? Honestly, can you stop this guy right now? He doesn’t typically score highlight reel goals, but he’s got 34 of them, and that’s good enough for us with a one-goal lead.

1-1 (Viktor Arvidsson goal)

Welp. A slick play, and you’ll find few better underrated forwards in the NHL than Viktor Arvidsson. Put himself on display here to beat Frederik Andersen, and we’ve got a tied hockey game. For now.

2-1 Leafs (Auston Matthews goal)

Auston’s first goal in a month. Put that one on the highlight reel, everyone.

3-1 Leafs (William Nylander goal)

Getting good bounces is key to winning hockey games, or something. William hops on the puck and just fires it home, to everyone’s surprise. His sixteenth of the season and it gives the buds a little breathing room late in the second.

4-1 Leafs (Mitch Marner goal)

What a start to the third period. As we know all too well, a three-goal lead isn’t safe at any point in the game, but it definitely sucks the life out when a literal child walks into your home rink and scores a goal like it’s nobody’s business. 4-1 buds, and they wouldn’t be stopping there.

5-1 Leafs (Jake Gardiner goal)

There were calls to pull Rinne after this one, but to no avail. A ROCKET of a shot from Jake Gardiner for his fifth goal of the season, and it’s a four-goal lead.

5-2 Leafs (Scott Hartnell goal)

This goal was about as inconsequential as you’ll get, but hey, it padded some stats.
