The Leafs made another move on the draft floor, trading next year’s fourth-rounder in exchange for the 122nd pick and selecting overage goaltender Dennis Hildeby out of Färjestad in the SHL.
Hildeby, who stands 6’6″ and weighs 234 pounds, has already been passed over in the draft a couple of times but put up solid numbers this past season. Through 12 games at the J20 level, he put up a 2.80 GAA and .931 SV%, and managed a 1.93 GAA to go along with a .931 SV% through seven games in the SHL.
Stay tuned for more on all of the Leafs’ draft picks.
